Tallarook Eyes Next Chapter After Historic Season

Friday 24 July 2026

The Tallarook Cricket Club (TCC) has confirmed its Executive and General Committee for the 2026–27 Seymour District Cricket Association season, with the club returning an experienced leadership group while welcoming a new Secretary.

Mitch Itter has been re-elected as President, Damien Arandt will continue as Vice-President and Sam Watts has been returned as Treasurer. Joining the Executive and the General Committee for the first time is Meg O’Sullivan, who has been appointed Secretary.

The General Committee will include Leigh Irving, Lachlan Watts, Shan Dundon, Andrew Dundon, Jac Smith-Williams and Edenrose Dundon.

President Mitch Itter said the continuity of the Committee would provide a strong platform to build on one of the most successful seasons in the club’s history.

“The past 12 months have been incredibly rewarding for everyone involved with our club,” Mr Itter said.

“Our A Grade side created history by winning a fourth consecutive premiership, while our Under 13s completed a second straight undefeated season. They are achievements the entire Tallarook community can be enormously proud of.

“Off the field, we’ve continued to strengthen the culture that makes this club so special. From our junior programs and family events through to our volunteers, sponsors and committee members, there are so many people contributing to the success of our club.

“We’ve invested a significant amount of money into our ground over the off season, in collaboration with the Tallarook Recreation Reserve Committee of Management and look forward to a bumper 2026-27 season.”

Mr Itter welcomed Meg O’Sullivan to the Executive and thanked outgoing Secretary Shan Dundon for her service over the past season.

“Shan has done a fantastic job as Secretary and we’re incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed to the club,” he said.

“We’re equally excited to welcome Meg into the role. She’s passionate about the club and we’re looking forward to the ideas and enthusiasm she’ll bring to the Executive.”

Looking ahead to the upcoming season Mr Itter said the club remained focused on continuing to grow both on and off the field.

“We’re committed to continuing the momentum we’ve built over recent years,” he said.

“Our priorities remain establishing an Under 16s side, strengthening our senior playing list and ensuring Tallarook remains a welcoming, family-friendly club that people are proud to be part of.

“While success is never guaranteed, our players, coaches and volunteers are excited by the challenge ahead and the opportunity to continue building something special at Tallarook.”
